Walterboro to Charleston

We got to share a filling meal courtesy of our hosts in the morning and, loaded with snacks and tasty homemade cornmeal muffins, the four of us headed off.  It was a bit of a discombobulated day of riding thanks to some very busy roads and a long midday food-seeking stop, but the sunshine and good company certainly meant some good memories.
From Germany!  Hopefully these two will make it into Canada and we will see each other again

Despite a day of heavy traffic and creative navigational skills on my part, Sam and I got to finish our ride with a lovely couple of miles on a paved 'rail-trail' and arrived at our Warmshower's hosts house in Charleston.  Missy and Charles had given direction ahead of time, so we put our things inside, the bikes in the back, and cleaned up to get our thoughts together.  The evening entailed some delicious Chinese and Japanese food from a place down the block and a grocery store venture (tasty samples!), and we luckily caught Missy just before she headed out when we got back.  A quiet evening and patching party (mostly patching Sam's tubes, I only had two from much earlier in the trip) was a good way to wind down and get ready for our two days of exploration in Charleston.
